Social Pharmacy
The Social Pharmacy was created to provide comprehensive services to beneficiaries. The facility that is funded under the act “Basic Goods Provision Facility: City of Athens Social Grocery and Social Pharmacy”, of the “Attica 2014-2020” O.P.
The City of Athens Reception and Solidarity Centre’s Social Pharmacy operates every day (Monday-Friday) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Solidarity Hub (2 Domokou Street) across from Larissa Station. The main goal is to ensure that people who do not have access to the healthcare system will not discontinue their treatment.
Staffed by experienced and specialized staff, it serves over 3.000 beneficiaries with medicines, parapharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and other medical supplies. In addition, the beneficiaries can access psychosocial support, counseling and/or referrals to other facilities where they can also seek help and social protection. .

I want to register
Registration candidates: Residents of Athens whose annual family income does not exceed the poverty line (as defined annually by the Hellenic Statistical Authority- ELSTAT), people who are uninsured or low-income people insured under the Social Welfare system, homeless people etc.
Registration Documents
- Application (to be filled in at K.Y.A.D.A.’s Social Service)
- ID Card
- Recent Income Tax Notice
- Passport and residence permits for all family members if they are not Greek citizens
- Recent Marital Status Certificate
- Birth Certificates for all family members
- Unemployment card (if available)
- Lease contract if the residence is rented or permanent residence certificate or public utility bill (electricity, phone services or water supply). If you are hosted, the E1 and a public utility bill of the host are required.
Applications are accepted throughout the year at 35 Pireos Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All the supporting documents should be submitted in photocopies. The beneficiaries are reviewed every year, for a possible change of their socio-economic situation.

All items available at the Social Pharmacy are donated by pharmaceutical companies, volunteer groups, non-profit associations, as well as citizens.
Every contribution in medicines and parapharmaceutical material is accepted (with the exception of opened ointments and syrups) so that we keep supporting people in need.
